George, from Pulborough is accompanied by university friend, John Whybrow from Norfolk. Their challenge to cycle the world and raise £100,000 for Porchlight, a Canterbury homeless charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Water Aid, took two years of planning.

They are expected to arrive in Portsmouth by ferry next Friday, March 24 and cycle via Duncton, Fittleworth, and Pulborough, on to London. They leave London on Saturday for Canterbury Cathedral where the journey began and where they will be many friends, family, sponsors and charity representatives waiting to welcome them home.
