Ten schools from across five southern counties competed and the event attracted a large audience.

The Academy received nine awards of excellence, for choreography, performance skill, stage use, concept, drama, soundtrack, entertainment, stage crew and video performance, plus the Rock Challenge Award for school community support.

The students portrayed an emotive and true life story of one lady’s experience of the Holocaust using a simple yet effective set and bold costumes.

The aim of the Be Your Best Foundation is to encourage young people to lead healthy lifestyles and be their best without the need for tobacco, alcohol or other drugs.
