Plans to build 151 new homes in Fox Hill Village and 320 new homes in Rookery Farm, Rocky Lane, have sparked anger and concern in longstanding residents.

The group of 40 campaigners are taking an ‘ordered walk’ around Fox Hill Village to highlight their concerns.

Some say they feel their homes are ‘under attack’.

Stephanie Went, 54, a Fox Hill resident who is one of the walks organisers, said the plans were ‘not realistic’.

She said: “We have to accept that the building of homes has to take place due to the housing need, however, this is too many houses and Haywards Heath does not have the infrastructure to handle them all.

“We have also seen both proposals increase the amount of homes, so much more thought needs to go into this.”

People who wish to take part in the walk can meet at The Fox and Hounds pub car park at 10am.
