HORSHAM life saving club celebrated a record year of passes at its 2011 presentation evening.
Horsham District Council chairman Claire Vickers and Royal Life Saving Society UK national president Stuart Bailey congratulated the club on the range of qualifications gained, as well as the highest number of successful exams taken since it was formed in 1982.
Guests at the evening included Natalie Brahma-Pearl, director of community services at HDC; Deryck Wright, president of Horsham Lions; John Stainer, honorary club member and chairman of RLSS South East Region and Tim Bolton from The Pavilions.
A raffle was held with the money raised being allocated to sponsor Horsham Lion’s Swimathon.
There was also a display of RLSS memorabilia from the chairman’s collection.
