RAPPER Aggro Santos, 24, from Tooting, London appeared at Chichester Crown Court this afternoon (April 24), charged with raping a woman in Chichester in 2011.

He appeared under his real name, Yuri Santos, alongside his friend Tyrelle Ritchie, 22, of Lambeth, London, who is also charged with one count of rape, as part of the same incident.

Santos also faces one additional rape charge following an alleged incident after he performed at a nightclub in Yeovil in 2010.

Prosecuting, Isobel Ascherson said: “Mr Ritchie and Mr Santos are charged together for the events that occurred in May in Chichester. Mr Santos is a singer – stage name Aggros Santos – who was during that period of 2010, 2011, 2012, appearing doing performances.”

She said Santos had appeared as a ‘guest of honour’ at the University of Chichester end of term ball on May 6, 2011, and had performed.

She said a group of four girls had attended the concert together, one of whom was the alleged victim. They were invited upstairs afterwards for a drink with Santos and his entourage, one of whom was Ritchie.

They then went back to the hotel where Santos and Ritchie were staying, where the alleged rapes occurred.

Santos and Ritchie have pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The trial continues.
