Ending polio for good is Rotary’s number one objective. Since 1979 Rotary, in partnership with health agencies and the Bill Gates Foundation, has reduced polio cases worldwide by 99% completely eradicating the disease in India over the past 3 years.

Storrington & Pulborough District Rotary Club, with the help of our communities, has supported this ambitious programme.

KS2 children at St Mary’s C of E Primary School, Pulborough have also been busy creating some excellent ‘Fight Against Polio’ posters and David Tolerton, Chairman of Rotary’s International and Foundation Committee, will present certificates and book vouchers during school assembly at 9am on Thursday November 13.

A selection of the posters produced by the children is on display as part of a Rotary information display in a Storrington High Street shop window kindly loaned by Storrington In Bloom.
