Sixty members of the Pulborough Lunch Club enjoyed a special Valentine’s Lunch on 12th February in Pulborough Village Hall.

Members enjoyed a lunch of poached salmon, new potatoes and peas, followed by heart-shaped meringues with strawberries, and other delicious home-made puddings.

Sainsbury’s Pulborough had sponsored the vegetables and also wine and soft drinks. June Reader and Lana Martin, members of the store came to help serve the lunch and at the end gave everyone a chocolate valentine’s gift.

With storm force gales blowing outside the Hall, this proved to be a really special celebratory occasion.

The Pulborough Lunch Club serves a weekly lunch of home-made soup, rolls, cheese and home-made puddings. Once a month a cooked meal is served.
