A new chairman is set to be appointed to the Central Mid Sussex County Local Committee next week.
CLC members will make a decision on Tuesday June 18 in what will be their first meeting since the May elections.
The committee will also consider several Prevention and Wellbeing Grant applications and approve those that best meet the objectives for the year.
It follows bids from a number of voluntary and community organisations who applied for funds worth up to £5,000 at the beginning of 2013.
Residents will also hear about a new proposal which could improve the bus service in the area.
The Quality Bus Partnership will look at integrating the time, money, and effort of several different companies to benefit their customers.
CLC member Pete Bradbury said: “This meeting will be a good opportunity for residents to voice their opinions and raise any concerns they may have.
“We will also be looking at new applications for Community Initiative Funding which provides money to projects led by organisations from the area.”
The meeting starts at 7pm in Balcombe Victory Hall, Stockcroft Road, Haywards Heath, RH17 6HP.
