The deadline for responses to a proposed residents’ parking scheme for parts of Arundel has been extended until Friday, November 2.
West Sussex County Council agreed to extend the public consultation period because of the amount of interest generated by the proposals.
The move, made in liaison with Arundel Town Council and Arun District Council, will enable more residents to send in their views.
All responses received by the County Council before the deadline will be considered ahead of any decision to proceed with the next stage of public consultation.
Nigel Peters, Chairman of the Joint Downland County Local Committee, said: “West Sussex County Council is encouraged by the number of responses received so far and these will be reported in January at a meeting of the Joint Downland Area Committee.
“Giving people further time to submit comments will make the public consultation exercise more thorough – and our decision better informed.”
