Pizza the action to go to charity

A STEYNING mobile pizza van has celebrated its successful first year by raising money for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

The Pizza Oven, owned by Helen Kerr and Emma Rogers, sells wood-fired pizzas in Steyning and beyond.

They have dedicated a special pizza each week to the hospice, and named it the Chestnut Tree House Special.

All proceeds from this special pizza, collected over the past two months, will be donated to the charity.

The fund-raising comes to an end on Friday, April 5, when Chestnut Tree House patron Sally Gunnell, a friend of the business, will present a cheque to hospice community fund-raiser Jayne Todd in Steyning High Street.

The Pizza Oven is in the High Street car park, 6pm to 9pm, every Friday.

It can also be booked for parties and events. Visit for more information.
