STUDENTS went all out on their prom night, dressing glamorously and arriving in style on horse back and even in a tank.
Year 11 pupils from Shoreham Academy were joined by staff for an evening of celebration.
A spokesman for the academy said: “Everyone had a fantastic time celebrating their last five years at Shoreham Academy.”
Students and staff enjoyed a three-course meal at the Hilton Avisford Park in Arundel, then spent the rest of the evening socialising and dancing.
Giovanna Molli, one of the pastoral managers at Shoreham Academy, said: ”The girls wore their outfits with elegance and the boys were suitable suitors in their extremely smart suits. During the evening they dined on a three course banquet in a beautifully decorated room.
“They then proceeded to dance the night away to an array of songs that kept the students amused until the end of the evening. A good time was had by students and staff. Students behaved impeccably and were complemented on their good behaviour by the staff of the hotel.
“The students departed on coaches with tears of happiness, clutching their balloons along with their brilliant memories of a fantastic evening.”
Student Freya Newington from Shoreham said: “Prom was amazing, I really enjoyed myself! It was great to be able to dress up and spend the night with friends in a perfect send-off.”
Rezvan Habibi from Southwick added: “It was certainly a magnificent finale to my school era, which was undoubtedly gratified in the company of equally magnificent friends and teachers/staff. Put simply, prom was fantabulous.”
