ANOTHER outstanding set of A-level results was celebrated at Steyning Grammar School’s Sixth Form College, with students achieving a 98 per cent pass rate.
Out of the 194 candidates, 29 per cent achieved an A* or A grade, and in 30 subjects, the pass rate was 100 per cent.
The school said 30 per cent of students gaind grades ABB or above, a figure that was unlikely to be replicated in many other sixth forms.
Head teacher Chris Taylor said: “This has not been achieved by chance, but through the hard work and dedication of our students, the support of their parents and the commitment of our staff.
“The most pleasing element of these results is that so many of our students have clearly embraced the school’s vision of every person being the best they can be, with many students doing significantly better than their entry qualifications and target grades would predict.”
