Open art class introduced for society’s summer show

SHOREHAM Horticultural and Allotment Society is introducing a new open art class for its summer show.

People of any age can submit art in any style, depending on their hobby, such as knitting, sewing, clay modelling, carpentry and photography.

Entry is 25p per item and the winner will be determined by public vote on the day.

The show takes place at the Shoreham Centre, Pond Road, on Saturday, August 10, from midday to 3.30pm.

Art entries must be submitted to Daphne Thomas by Wednesday, August 7. Email her at dd.gardener@ntlworld.com or call 01273 463638.

Other categories include flowers, vegetables, pot plants, fruit and flower arranging.

Entrance to view the items on show is free.
