Youngsters at Burgess Hill Youth Club are jumping for joy after a £1,000 boost to funds.

Their inventive online video plea for help impressed developers McCarthy and Stone, who donated the money.The firm had recently launched a campaign to find deserving

causes within the local community. Club chairman Paul Myles said: “Sadly, due to funding cuts to our youth organisation, times have been rather hard. The money will make a real difference to us.”

The cash will be spent on a new laptop for multimedia projects , education courses and training, and also on sports equipment.
