THREE business centres in Sussex joined forces to hold the first Basepoint-run Sussex Business Exhibition.
Basepoint’s Shoreham, Newhaven and Crawley centres put on the exhibition to connect local senior management executives and encourage business growth.
Two guest speakers offered invaluable advice and stands were set up at the Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham, showcasing local businesses.
Penina Shepherd, founder of Acumen Business Law, gave a talk called Thriving on Your Passion, which told the story of her journey to success, together with helpful and practical tips.
Nicky McCrudden, founder of McCrudden Training, which offers training in areas like leadership, team building and personal development, was on hand to advise on business objectives. She explained that leaders are made and not born.
There was also the chance to take part in a drop-in action learning session run by researchers at the Centre for Research in Innovation Management, at the University of Brighton.
Stephanie George, manager of Basepoint Shoreham, said: “The day went smoothly and we had lots of very positive feedback so we are really pleased with how it turned out. We hope it’s the first of many.”
