FIRST pictures of what a revitalised Montague Centre could look like have been revealed.
New River Retail, owners of the key town centre site, hopes to transform the centre into a ‘restaurant destination’, as reported yesterday.
Director Stuart Mitchell said: “There has been no significant new development in Worthing town centrefor years and we have an entirely deliverable scheme.
“We have successfully brought forward similar proposals to this elsewhere. Our new planned investment seeks to provide six modern units suitable for restaurants, cafes and shops and we have confirmed interest from a number of national brands.
“We are also introducing a new elegant branding for the Centre along with upgraded paving, seating and landscaping. We aim to create a whole new ambience with outside seating and retractable awnings.”
