Joseph said: “I have worked on the relationship between the police and young people. I hope to take the opportunity to implement real change to a diverse audience and to prompt active debate with the multiple agencies in attendance.”

The SYC was set up by the county’s Police and crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne.

Katy Bourne said: “The Sussex Youth Commission have undertaken some fantastic research this year by having conversations with groups of young people who often find it difficult to engage with the police.
