STUDENTS from Midhurst Rother College visited their partner school in the south of Germany, AEG.

The Year 10 students stayed for a week in the town of Oettingen in the homes of their friends.

There, they were able to experience German school life and take trips, including an excursion to Munich.

Cecile Rampton, German teacher, said: “This is the only way to experience real German traditions and life styles!

“In turn, it helps enormously when learning the language.

“We were all delighted by the fantastic hospitality we received and plan that this will be a long term relationship between our two outstanding schools.”

Fons Oomen, a students, said: “It was a great trip - we all found the way of life at home and at school quite different from what we are used to so it was a good experience.

“The family I stayed with were very welcoming and I hope that we will all stay in touch.”
