Make your own scarecrow

On the weekend of June 14 and 15, Sussex families spent a Wild Green Sleepout with Sussex Green Living in a field near Coneyhurst, getting closer to nature, oh and wasn’t it wild on Friday night, camping in the worst thunderstorm seen for years!

As well as lots of outdoor play campers participated in an Eco art session, making recycled models, decorated shoe boxes and scarecrows ready for an Eco art competition at the William Penn Primary School summer fete this coming weekend (June 21).

Scarecrows are made out of up-cycled CD’s, DVD’s and video tape! Children have been encouraged to bring their models or come and make them on my Green Stand at the fete.

There will be a judging at the end of the fete with the winner of the three classes qualifying to go through to the Billingshurst Carnival the following weekend.

More information about the fete can be found here http://www.sussexgreenliving.co.uk/2014/05/william-penn-primary-school-summer-fete/.

Founder of Sussex Green Living, I am a director at Take One, a Horsham based creative video production company who have just moved offices (still in Horsham) hence all the extra wonderful waste resources to work with!

So come along and make your own media scarecrow this Saturday June 21 12-4.30pm at the William Penn Primary School summer fete!
