The main pool at Horsham’s Pavilions in the Park leisure centre will reopen as planned on Monday February 2 at 6.15am.
According to the leisure centre’s website the pool will reopen after being closed for two months for vital renovation works costing £1m.
However due to ‘additional unforeseen works’ the reopening of the Teaching Pool and Leisure Waters has been delayed.
The statement reads: “At this stage we are expecting to re-open these pools on Thursday 5th February but please check back here for a further update nearer the time. All sessions held in the Teaching Pool and Leisure Waters are cancelled Monday 2nd -Wednesday 4th February. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“School Swimming Lessons usually in the Teaching Pool will be moved to the moveable floor area of the main pool and will continue as normal.
“All other swimming lessons that take place in the Teaching Pool or Leisure Waters will be cancelled from Monday 2nd – Wednesday 4th February. We will be calling around to let parents know over the next couple of days. If you pay in advance for Swimming Lessons an extra session will be added to the end of your current package. If you pay by Direct Debit your March payment will be adjusted accordingly.”
