Crawley Lions Club paid a visit to The Downsman Bowling Club in West Green .

A Crown Green Bowling competition was being held between The Downsman, Popes Mead, Crawley Town and Southgate Park bowling clubs. The Lions took the opportunity to present the 210 people taking part with its Message In A Bottle campaign.

This involves people putting their medical details in a small bottle and stored in their fridge. It can save the emergency services valuable time identifying patients, emergency contacts and finding out if they have allergies to medications.

Pictured left to right are Roz Ludbrook organiser of The Downsman, Lion Pat Carpenter, Lion David Carpenter, Lion Cath Davies, Margaret Tofield (Southgate Park), Carmel Purcell (Popes Mead) and Sylvia Brinkley (Crawley Town).

All proceeds will go to the Crawley mayor’s charity Outreach 3 Way.
