Crawley Lions helped to open people’s eyes to the problems faced by the blind when they set up shop in County Mall on World Sight Day.

The Mayor, Cllr Bob Burgess, and the Youth Mayor Tumsil Abbas, 18, were blindfolded and led through the Mall by Lion Gary Davies. Tumsil said: “I felt really intimidated walking down the Mall not being able to see anything at all. Walking back I felt really enclosed and it’s kind of given me an insight of what it’s like to be a blind person.” To join the Lions contact Gary on 07950 323000.
