There was a carnival atmosphere in Lindfield on Saturday as the annual Village Day got underway.
There was something for all ages including a procession, a tug of war contest, wheelbarrow races, three-legged races and a community zumba class.
People lined the streets to see the Caribbean themed procession down Lindfield high street.
With music from the Euphoria Steel Band and floats it made for a colourful spectacle for a late spring day.
Pirate costumes were a favourite with old and young donning hats scarves, eye patches as well as Pirates of the Caribbean Jack Sparrow look-a-likes.
There were more than 120 stalls on the common.
Besides the fun and games there was a beer tent, food to suit all tastes and a pet show.
Prizes were given for the best float and various awards in the pat show including best junior handler.
