A Lindfield man who died in a fatal road collision near Haywards Heath on Wednesday (June 12) has been named as Adam Wingrove, aged 22, from William Allen Lane.
Mr Wingrove was travelling northbound in Isaacs Lane at about 4pm when his silver Ford Fiesta was in collision with a white Mercedes estate travelling in the opposite direction.
He died at the scene.
The 37-year-old Haywards Heath woman driving the Mercedes, and her 18-month-old daughter, were treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital for injuries which were assessed as minor.
A police spokesperson said: “This was a tragic incident in which a young man sadly lost his life. We’re still keen to hear from any witnesses who saw what happened and would particularly like to speak to the driver of a black car, believed to be a Vauxhall or similar, which was seen travelling north in Isaacs Lane prior to the collision.
