Improved mobility service while Shoreham footbridge closed

West Sussex County Council has improved the transport service it provides for mobility scooter and electric wheelchair users while the Shoreham Footbridge is closed.

Adur Community Transport already provides a free service between Shoreham Beach and Shoreham Town between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.

However, a new evening service, which is on-demand, door-to-door and free at the point of use, is now available between 5pm and 10pm from Monday to Friday.

The additional service was introduced by the County Council after feedback from Shoreham residents.

County Council Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, Pieter Montyn, said: “We hope this extra service will prove useful throughout the closure of the footbridge.”

Anyone who would like to use the service can arrange to do so by calling 07841 308681.
