A Worthing group is offering residents a chance to improve their confidence when talking in public.

It is part of a number of new sessions from the Worthing Speakers Club which helps people develop their communication and leadership skills.

The group, which started in 2006, is holding a free taster meeting at the town’s library on Saturday November 17.

The event, starting at 2pm, is hoping to encourage more people to get involved in the monthly meetings.

Lionel Barnard, county council deputy leader responsible for the libraryswervice, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for people to improve their confidence to talk in front of others.

“The group will help develop your ability to express yourself effectively in any given situation.

“There is something for everyone and you do not need to be a member of the library to join.”

Tickets for the session are available at the branch.
