The pair took charge after Gary Charman quit the helm back in January and were tasked with trying to turn the struggling club’s fortunes around.

Despite a huge turn around in personnel since their appointment, the Hornets are still rooted to the bottom of the Ryman League South Division table with three games left to play.

The pair took charge of the side for the last time today in their 2-1 home win over Corinthian Casuals.

To avoid an all-but certain relegation, Horsham need to win their final three games with other results going their way and club has said the change has come with an eye on next season.

They hope to have a new manager appointed by next week’s game at Faversham.

Horsham chief executive John Lines said: “We have spoken to Cliff and Anthony and genuinely thanked them for a huge amount of their time and effort put in, but unfortunately our league position has not changed and with an eye on preparing for next season, we are looking to replace them before next week’s game at Faversham.”
