Staff and children from Holy Trinity Playgroup are celebrating the result of their recent Ofsted inspection which is outstanding in all areas.

The playgroup, which has been operating for six years, is based at Holy Trinity Church Hall in Rushams Road, Horsham. It takes children from two years old through to when they start school.

It also runs an Outdoor Club one morning a week in a woodland in Hammerpond Road.

Lynn Roberts, early years teacher and manager of the playgroup said: “We have a good staff team, the children are lovely, and the parents are very helpful and interested in everything we do. The church are also very supportive, recently improving the outdoor facilities to make an interesting and safe area for the children.”

The report includes observations such as ‘Highly trained staff have an excellent knowledge of how children learn and use this to help children make exceptional progress in their learning. They provide a rich variety of indoor and outdoor play opportunities to ensure that each child’s preferences and learning styles are catered for’.

Lynn said: “We had an enjoyable morning with the inspector who was very impressed with everything that we do at the playgroup and told us to ‘shout it from the mountain tops’.”
