On Thursday September 25 the Horsham Centre in Rushams Road opened its doors to the public to give them an opportunity to meet the teams in their area and to chat to existing volunteers about the different services on offer.
Volunteers from Mobility Aids, Transport, First Aid and Home from Hospital were on hand to tell people about the opportunities within the Red Cross and how volunteering has been so rewarding for them.
Red Cross service manager Judith Fitter said: “A steady stream came through the door to take advantage of a cup of tea and cake.
“It was lovely to see the local community turn out and we’ve gained several new volunteers for our services.”
If you were unable to attend but would still like to volunteer please either call 0800 0280 831 or go to www.redcross.org.uk
