Horsted Keynes, Vintage Train Ride and Linear Walk. Walk – Fen Place – Imberhorne – Dunnings – Standen – Kingscote Station. Train departs 15.55 arrives HK 16.15. (Return fare £11). Wednesday February 20, 10am: Meet in the car park of the Queens Head pub, Barns Green. If the car park is too busy, please park near the Village Club (RH13 0PT, 100 yards away). A lovely new 5 mile walk through fields and woodland south of the village, taking 2½ hours. Some stiles and can be muddy. No dogs, please, as we may encounter livestock. Tony 01403 269232.

Thursday February 21, 10am: Meet in the Half Moon car park, Warninglid (TQ 236206). Circular, guided, free sociable walk through woods and farmland into Wykehurst Park along High Weald Landscape Trail past the “Hammer House of Horror”, some stiles, few hills, superb views. Saturday February 23, 2pm: Meet at Kithurst Hill car park (off the Amberley to Storrington road), (TQ 070125). Lee farm, 4½ mile circular walk into the heart of the rolling downs up above Storrington. Dogs allowed on a lead. 2 hours. Mick 01903 745971.

Sunday February 24, 10am: Meet in Kithurst Hill car park (off the Amberley to Storrington road), (TQ 070125). 6 mile circular walk, some hills, off the beaten track along footpaths towards Downs Farm high above Amberley, giving excellent views of a dry, unimproved, chalk downland valley where we may see deer resting. Tuesday February 26, 10am: Park and meet in the car park of the Red Lyon, Slinfold (TQ 118315, RH13 0RR). New 5½ mile circular walk, mostly flat (some slopes and stiles), over farmland and through woods. No dogs. 2½ hours. Geoff 01403 258180 and Pat 240654.
