Saturday May 26, 10am: Meet at Kings Standing car park, Ashdown Forest, junction of the B2026 and B2188 (GR TQ473301). “Old Crowborough Common and a Wood”. Another corner of Ashdown Forest awaits exploration. Beginning high on the Forest walk passes through The Warren to ‘Old’ Crowborough and returns through the Five Hundred Acre Wood. 8½ miles. Wednesday May 30, 7.30pm: Meet at Goddard’s Green, dead end road opposite Sportsman Public House (TQ284202). Dumbrell’s Farm – Pookbourne Lane – Naldretts – North End Farm – Pangdene Lane – Gatehouse Lane – Sportsman. 3¼ miles. Optional refreshments in Sportsman public house after walk.
