Sunday April 29, 10am: Meet at Ditchling Country Park car park, off B2112 (GR TQ337181). “The Bluebells of Bedelands and Beyond”. Revisiting this gentle springtime stroll across heathland, over common and through ancient woodland seeking displays of bluebells. 7½ miles. Leader: Terry Owen, Per-Rambulations.

Saturday April 28, 10am: London Olympics Linear, 16 mile walk. Meet outside White city Underground Station (Central Line). Linear walk between the site of London’s 1908 Olympic Stadium in White City to the new 2012 Olympic Park at Stratford. This is a flat walk mostly on pavements and towpaths. Train to Victoria, the Underground to White City (Circle Line to Notting Hill Gate, then Central Line to White City). You will need a Travel Card via Victoria. The walk passes through some of London’s most affluent and deprived areas and provides an interesting take on the patchwork of communities that make up the capital. No dogs please. Halfway – Lag Wood – Bonny Wood – Coldharbour Farm – Hautboyes – Danny Estate – Bearstakes – Belmont – Hassocks. Hassocks railway station is only 5 minutes walk from the start point.
