Please arrive in time for booting up and buying BR ticket. From Hurst Green Railway Station catch 10.25 (time to be confirmed) train to Woldingham. Walk: Church Road – Great Church Wood – Take the steps down the Downs – Beech Plantation – over M25 – Limpsfield (Pub lunch in the Bull or picnic) – Limpsfield Common – Pollards Oak Road (for tea and cake) – Hurst Green Railway Station. Walk via (am) Stoughton Down, Pitlands Farm, Stoughton (L) and (pm) Watergate Hanger, Woodlands Cottages, Walderton, Stoughton. Notes: This is last day of British Summer Time.

Sunday October 30 at 9:30am, Arundel Anniversary walk from 1938 -17 miles Downland Explorer Map 121/TQ018079 Meet at Swanbourne Lake by the refreshment kiosk adjacent to Mill Road. Park in Mill Road. Walk via Arundel Park, Bury, Bignor Hill (L picnic only), Slindon, Arundel. Notes: Early start time! The original 1938 route has been shortened for this walk by not starting from Arundel railway station and by omitting Eartham from the route. We will attempt to maintain a brisk pace throughout this walk, however if the pace slows we will most certainly be walking the last few miles in the dark, so please bring a torch.
