Wednesday August 24 at 7pm: Malling Down at sunset. Meet Phoenix Causeway car park, Harveys Way, Lewes (no charge after 6pm). Chapel Hill - Malling Down Nature Reserve - Malling Hill - Saxon Cross - Lewes Golf Course and return to car park. Leader Sue. NB Steep ascent at start of walk but we will be rewarded with tremendous views in all directions if we get a clear evening. Limited parking around the canal basin, alternative parking to be found in Chichester Gate Leisure Park, Terminus Road. Walk via Canal Wharf, Basin Road, the City Walls, Bishops Palace Gardens, Chichester Cathedral, Chichester Canal. Meet at Lancing Ring car park at the end of Mill Lane - turn into Mill Lane opposite the Miller and Carter pub (formerly the Sussex Potter). Walk via Cowbottom, Coombehead, Monarch’s Way, Bramber (L), Botolphs, riverside, Lancing College. Notes: Downland in the morning and riverside in the afternoon.

Wednesday, August 24 Meet at 7pm: at Amberley Station. Circular walk over difficult terrain at a good pace for the more experienced walker. Some hills and stiles. Free, just turn-up. No dogs. 5 to 6 miles.
Thursday, August 25: Meet at West Chiltington Village Hall (TQ 083179) at 10am. Various circular walks, some stiles and moderate slopes, incorporating windmills, vineyards, llamas and good views of the South Downs. Free, just turn-up. No dogs. 4 to 5 miles.
Friday, August 26 meet at 11am: in Cripplegate Lane car park, Southwater Country Park. Flat easy circular walk along bridleways, lanes and the Downs Link. Free, just turn-up. Dogs on leads. 2 miles.
