Tuesday July 19: Meet at 10am East Dean - Seaford (kittiwakes) – East Dean. Meet at East Dean car park for bus to Seaford – Splashpoint (RSPB may be there with telescopes) Seaford Head – Cuckmere Haven – Brass Point – Gayles – East Dean. 514m of ascent and 483m of descent on good downland paths with breathtaking views of Kittiwakes and the Seven Sisters. Sunday July 24: 10.30am; The Haven near Rudgwick, 9.5 miles, mainly level, canal, woodland, fields. Explorer Map 134/TQ083305. Meet at the Blue Ship pub, The Haven, between Five Oaks & Rudgwick. Turn left off the A29, 500m north of Five Oaks roundabout; then next left, after 1.3 miles. Park on LHS verge beyond the pub. Walk via Gibbons Mill, Malham, Newpound Common (L), Rowner Lock, Okehurst. Notes: postcode RH14 9BS.

Monday July 25: 10am. Shermanbury – Henfield, free, park and meet in The Bull Inn car park, Mockbridge, on the A281, TQ 210181; 5½ miles circular walk along the banks of the River Adur and the Downs Link, fairly flat (some stiles). No dogs.

Thursday, July 28: meet at West Chiltington Village Hall (TQ 083179) at 10am: Various circular walks, some stiles and moderate slopes, incorporating windmills, vineyards, llamas and good views of the South Downs. Free, just turn-up. No dogs; 4 to 5 miles.

Friday, July 29: Meet at 10am in Cowfold sports ground car park off the A272 (TQ 214226). Circular 5¼ mile walk along field paths and lanes towards Maplehurst. Some inclines. Free, just turn-up.

Friday, July 29: Meet at 11am in Cripplegate Lane car park, Southwater Country Park. Flat easy circular walk along bridleways, lanes and the Downs Link. Free, just turn-up. Dogs on leads. 2½ miles.
