Men’s Captain, Terry Vermigle and Ladies Captain, Jean Hooper from October 2013 to October 2014 at Bramley Golf Club just outside Guildford, decided to jointly support The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy for their year as Captains.

They went to visit School for Parents funded by the Trust, met some of the children who benefit from the vital service and were very moved by the experience and the extraordinary results achieved. Throughout the year various fundraising events took place at the Golf Club culminating in a wonderful Charity day with dinner and prize giving to wind up their year.

Exclusive Networks held a Rioja Day in November 2013 at the Club raising £2,595 and the magnificent total for the charity was £19,538.43.

Here Rosie Wyer, Regional Fundraiser gratefully accepts the cheque from Jean Hooper and Terry Vermigle and wants to send sincere thanks from everyone working for, and the beneficiaries of, the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy with particular mention to Club members Liz Telford and Gill Longdon who worked so hard to make the Charity Golf Day such a success.

Jean said: “We were delighted to have supported this very worthwhile charity. The parents we met on our visit were incredibly grateful for the holistic approach the charity takes to each and every one of their family.”
