FUNDRAISER Dorothy Shew held a collection in Shoreham, giving people the chance to learn about the work of the Brighton and Hove Retired Greyhound Trust.
Dorothy, of The Crescent, Southwick, said: “A total of £147.92 was raised for the charity, which was a smashing result, so a great thanks to everyone who donated.
“We always get a lovely welcome from the people of Shoreham when we do our street collections for the greyhounds.
“Everyone seems so interested in the hounds that we bring along for the day. In addition to the fundraising, it also helps raise awareness with people to show them what lovely pets greyhounds make when they retire.”
The collection, on Saturday, June 8, was done in shifts so the greyhounds did not get bored.
