Thanks to support from Saxon Weald Housing Association The Forest School is running another of their popular Misterchef courses this month.

Forest pupils will be on hand to help course members as they ‘cook’ their way to learning new skills. Previous Misterchef course attendee John said “It is a great experience. I learnt how to prepare and cook meals and am now much more confident to cook at home. It was also a fun, sociable experience that I didn’t expect at the beginning. I would recommend anyone thinking about it to sign up and have a go.”

Misterchef is a 4-week basic cooking course for older gentleman. It is great fun and suitable for those who have not cooked before or those that know a little but would like to learn more. “We cook 2 or 3 dishes per evening that the gentlemen can take home to enjoy. All delegates receive a course book that gives them handy information on healthy eating as well as all the recipes they have cooked during the course. It’s also a great social occasion” said Laura Ward, Community and Enrichment Programme Manager at Forest.

The spring course runs over 4 - weeks – Tuesday 13th & 20th May and 3rd & 10th June.

“We do still have some places on this course,” added Laura. “If anyone would like to find out more or to book a place on the course please contact me on 01403 756008 or lward@theforestschool.com
