Arun Leisure Centre was stood down last night (Tuesday June 12) as a Rest Centre for those affected by the flooding.
A total of 28 people and two dogs were helped there by officers yesterday.
Arun District Council staff worked with other agencies throughout the day to ensure drain grills across the district were cleared.
Arun engineers remained at locations in Bognor Regis to help clear surface water to help residents get back to their homes.
Some bin collections were unable to take place in Elmer/ Middleton yesterday.
Penarth Gardens, Thornlea Park and Lyminster Road were all affected due to the flooding.
Staff will be working hard to try to collect bins as early as they are able to for the rest of the week, unless they are prevented by further severe weather.
Where it is not possible, a double collection will be scheduled for next week.

The A29 Lidsey Road in Woodgate is closed in both directions between Woodgate Level Crossing and Bognor Regis Retail Park.
The carriageway is now just passable on A259 in Littlehampton around the A284 Wick Street junction.
The carriageway is just passable on A281 London Road in both directions in Henfield between the B2116 Albourne Road junction and the A2037 High Street junction.
B2140 Beach Road in Littlehampton closed in both directions at the South Terrace junction.
B2198 Bell Lane in Birdham closed in both directions between the A286 Main Road junction and the Bookers Lane junction.
Elmer Road in Middleton-On-Sea closed in both directions between the B2132 Middleton Road junction and the Manor Way junction.
Wophams Lane in Donnington closed in both directions between the A286 Birdham Road junction and the B2201 Selsey Road junction. Also affecting B2201 Selsey Road between Wophams Lane and Green Lane.
Hewart’s Lane in Aldwick closed in both directions between the B2166 Lower Bognor Road junction and the Rose Green Road junction.
Limmer Lane in Felpham closed in both directions between the Felpham Road junction and the Crossbush Road junction.
