Firefighters extinguished a small fire in a lorry that broke out on the A24 near Southwater yesterday (Wednesday October 29).

The fire broke out in the vehicle’s braking system while it was travelling southbound at about 7.15pm.

Fire crews from Horsham used a hose reel to battle the flames and the lorry was escorted to a lay-by.
