Cup target for Illustrious
ANGMERING Park trainer William Knight is hoping that talented racehorse Illustrious Blue will achieve the biggest win of his career at Glorious Goodwood this year.
The nine-year-old gelding, owned by Ian and Pam Bendelow of Rustington, is entered in the 100,000 Group Two Artemis Goodwood Cup over two miles on Thursday July 29.
The horse has earned a name for himself as a Goodwood specialist, having achieved six of his nine career wins at the local track, as well as some of his 17 placings there. He has earned almost 300,000 prizemoney during his career.
