Amy is selected for British team

ENJOYING a well-deserved double triumph in show jumping is Amy Inglis (13) of Cuckfield, who has not only qualified for the Horse of the Year show, but has been chosen to represent Britain at this year's European Pony Championship.

The event takes place on home soil at Bishop Burton College, Yorkshire from July 27 to August 1 when Amy is one of five riders selected for the team.

Amy, who is the daughter of International and British show jumping team member Duncan Inglis, rides nine year old bay gelding Nils D'hurl Vent owned by Mandy Hall.

She took part in three team viewing trials- one at Wales West where she won the Grand Prix, the second at Southview where she again won the Grand Prix, and finally at Chester where she finished second in the Grand Prix.

That was an outstanding performance alone, but Amy recently had the distinction of representing Britain at Morcell Belgium, helping to win a team gold.
