Companies which produce low carbon, resource and water efficient products and technologies are being invited to a free workshop this week.
The Sustainable Building Products and Technologies workshop, aimed at companies with fewer than 250 employees, will be held on Friday (January 20) by The Centre for Sustainable Design, supported by Crawley Borough Council.
The workshop will be held from 9am to 5.30pm in The Beech Room at the Civic Hall, The Boulevard, and focuses on new solutions to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and materials consumption.
Recent research has identified that investment in building technologies could have a positive impact on emissions reduction and increasing climate resilience.
Those who attend the workshop can benefit from up-to-date information on new opportunities and funding opportunities in addition to networking with like minded companies.
The speakers will discuss a range of questions around policy changes, the products and technologies available in the UK, how innovation of products and technologies can be stimulated and what skills are required.
An OpenGreen workshop will be organised in the afternoon which is aimed at identifying new income generating opportunities for sustainable products and services.
