From hand crafted bags to jewellery and fine art - Ditchling offers an inspirational trail in keeping with its artistic heritage.
Ditchling Artists’ Open Houses event continues through every weekend in May as part of the Brighton Festival.
There are several locations on the trail, including Turner Dumbrell Workshops offering an eclectic mix of arts and crafts from Jane Hopkinson’s distinctive bags in unusual colour combinations to Geoff Plant’s paintings, drawings and woodcuts and Natasha Caughey’s contemporary gemstone and freshwater pearl jewellery.
You can see a full list of all the venues at the Open House website: http://artinditchling.wordpress.com
The trail extends to Plumpton where there is a sculpture and art exhibition at The Half Moon pub. See page 36 for a painting by Grant Dejonge who is exhibiting at the Half Moon.
