The Washington Fringe is proud to announce the welcome return of ‘Crack up the Downs’ to be held on Friday September 26.

Following a sell-out show barking mad comics from prestigious kennels in both London and Sussex, are joining forces to raise funds for ‘Canine Partners’.

Canine Partners are based locally in Heyshott, West Sussex where they train dogs to provide practical day-to-day assistance to people with disabilities.

The dogs are trained to help with everyday tasks such as opening and shutting doors, unloading the washing machine, picking up dropped items, pressing buttons and switches and getting help in an emergency.

These amazing dogs bring companionship, a sense of security and an increase in social interaction. Canine Partners receives no government funding and relies solely on public donations.

Organisers, Sarah Brignall and The Washington Fringe, are promising a night of cutting-edge entertainment with a pedigree line-up, all of whom are giving their time for free to help raise the much needed funds for Canine Partners.

The line-up is growing day by day and already includes Romany - Diva of Magic, comedy duo Isosceles, award-winning magician Richard McDougall and Felicity Ferdinando of ‘Horse’ who brought us Felicity Mounsey Heynsham returns with the fabulous Caroline Carter from her extended show ‘The Caroline Carter Show’.

In addition there will be young up and coming talented singer songwriters and musicians.

You should be prepared for an unexpected, diverse and very exciting collection of comedy, variety, magic and music, which will leave you howling with laughter and begging for more!

Producer and performer Sarah Brignall says: “We’ve been thrilled by the way everyone has pulled together to create what promises to be a great show and will hopefully raise much needed funds for Canine Partners.

“They say never work with children or dogs... whoops, too late!”

Canine Partners say: “We are looking forward to a few shaggy dog comedy routines at this event. Our dogs love a good stand-up (sit down or wait) comedian!”

The show will take place at 7:30pm on Friday September 26 at The Malden Family Theatre, (in the grounds of) Windlesham House School, Washington, Pulborough, West Sussex RH20 4AY.

Tickets are £25 per adult and include a Bob the Hog BBQ during the interval. There will be a cash bar that opens at 7pm. The show is not suitable for young pups.

Tickets are available from www.guestli.st/228009

If you are unable to come you can still make a donation through Just Giving.
