Elderly man hurt after being trapped by tree in Horsham

An elderly man was taken to hospital after his hand was trapped against a fence post by a fallen tree in Horsham yesterday (Thursday September 17).

Emergency services were called to Harvesters, off Chennells Way, at about 10.55am.

Firefighters used small tools to release the man, who was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The crews made the conifer tree safe using a heavy rescue tender.
