Worthing High School headteacher quits to join Ofsted

The school’s governing body announced today (September 29) that Carolyn Dickinson would be leaving at the end of term.

Governors have already commenced the recruitment process and hope to have a new headteacher in place by either January or April 2017.

Mrs Dickinson said: “The decision to accept this offer has been extremely difficult and one which I have thought long and hard over.

“The students and staff of Worthing High are deep in my heart and the decision to take the next step in my career has not been easy.

“However, I have taken the decision in the knowledge that I leave the students with the best possible teaching and support staff who I know will ensure the highest possible standards both academic and pastoral for our students.

“I am also enormously grateful to everyone for their support over recent years.

“I shall very much miss everyone at Worthing High and wish students, staff, governors and parents all the very best for the future.”
