Triplets at St Paul’s Catholic College opened their GCSE results together and achieved a whopping 20 A* grades, 12 A grades and 3 B grades between them.

Conall, Deaglan and Niamh Bartlett (pictured) from Lodge Lane, Keymer are just a minute apart in age and supported each other through their revision.

Their mum, Julie, said: “I’m still shaking! My eyes filled up - I was overhelmed. My husband Graham was also there when they opened their results and he was over the moon. With three of them you’re worried one might not do as well but they’ve all done really well.”

Conall achieved 3 A* grades, 7 A grades and a B; Niamh has 7 A* grades, 3 A grades, 1 C and 1 B grade, and Deaglan achieved 10 A* grades, 2 A grades and a B.

Niamh said: “I was really surprised. I wasn’t expecting to do well at all!”

Niamh and Deaglan achieved their B grades in French GCSE two years ago, aged just 14.

Overall, 93 per cent of students at St Paul’s achieved five or more A*- C grades and 79 per cent achieved this with English and Maths.
