Steyning Library is set to become the latest West Sussex branch to install new self-service book machines.
The state-of-the terminals, which help readers borrow and return items themselves, are being placed in all branches across the county.
The library, on Church Street, will shut at 5.00pm on Friday 28 September.
People can still borrow as many as 20 books or DVDs before the temporary closure or use nearby branches including Shoreham, Storrington and Henfield.
It will reopen at 10am on Monday 15 October.
County Council deputy leader Lionel Barnard, who oversees the library service, said: “The new self-service machines are an efficient method for loaning items and can be used by everyone.
“Readers can print lists of books they have borrowed and even make cash payments for overdue items.
“Staff will be on hand before the library closes for anyone in need of help.”
