STUDENTS at The Weald School celebrated a bumper crop of A level results on Thursday August 18.

Headteacher Peter Woodman commented: “They are our best results to date and confirm The Weald as an outstanding college to study post 16.

“Students should be very proud of what they have achieved.”

Ten students achieved four grade As or better and 16 students achieved three A* or A or more, with an incredible 44 students achieving more than 810 points, the equivalent of three grade As.

Star achievers included Zoe Woodward who was celebrating three A* and one A grade and will be studying medicine at Newcastle and Maisie Nash who achieved two A* and two As and will be studying geography at Bristol.

The school was particularly pleased that over 30 per cent of entries were graded at A* or A with 55 per cent of grades at grade B or better.
